How is an eyelid surgery carried out?

Upper eyelid blepharoplasty is usually performed under sedation or local anaesthesia. Five millimetres above the eyelashes, in the natural crease, is where the incision is made.

In lower eyelid blepharoplasty, general anaesthesia is typically used for patient comfort. The location of the incision depends on the concerns being addressed, although it can be made inside the lower eyelid or just below the lash line.
