Hair Loss Treatment for Men in India
Hair Loss Treatment for Men in India
Hair loss resulting in thinning is known as alopecia. When it is related to hormones (androgens) and genetics, it is known as androgenetic alopecia. When androgenetic alopecia denudes an area of the scalp it is called baldness. Male pattern hair loss is characterized by a receding hairline and/or hair loss on the top and front of the head. A similar type of hair loss in women, female pattern hair loss, results in thinning hair on the mid-frontal area of the scalp and is generally less severe than occurs in males.
Male pattern hair loss is technically known as Male androgenetic alopecia (MAA) which affects half of the male population by the time they turn 50. Temples, mid-frontal scalp, and vertex are the most affected areas by this hair loss.
Hairfall doesn’t occur instantly but it develops gradually. Generally, 50-100 hairs fall daily from our head, baldness occurs when more hairs start falling and new hair doesn’t grow.
Symptoms
When one starts facing sudden and huge hair loss and getting oval or round-shaped patches on the scalp, it is a sign of Male androgenetic alopecia wherein hair loss can happen on any part of the body. If the following things happen, it may be a sign of alopecia.
- Oval or round and smooth bald patch on the scalp,
- Various patches of baldness on the scalp (Spotty hair loss),
- Loss of hair on beard, eyelashes, or eyebrows,
- Changes in nail colour/smoothness/shape,
- A band of hair loss,
- Itchiness, burning sensation, or tingling effect on the spot where hair loss is about to begin or has already begun, or
- Irritation in eyes due to loss of hair on eyelashes and eyebrows.
Generally, new hair replaces the lost hair and when this doesn’t happen, baldness occurs. There are certain levels of hair loss; the higher the level, the more difficult the treatment.
1. PRP Therapy
PRP (platelet-rich plasma) therapy is a medical treatment for hair loss that involves three steps.
The blood is drawn from a body part and put into a machine to spin it quickly to separate the blood into 3 layers, namely platelet-poor plasma, platelet-rich plasma, and red blood cells. The platelet-rich plasma is then injected into the desired areas of the scalp.
2. Mesotherapy
Hair Mesotherapy involves a direct injection of all the vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and surface expanders that are required for good hair growth.
This treatment helps nourish the hair follicles, eliminating dandruff, and stimulating inactive bulbs. It activates hair growth, stops hair loss, enhances blood flow, and improves hair density and quality.
3. QR 678
QR 678® is the newest hair fall treatment and hair regrowth therapy which is very affordable. It uses polypeptides that are already present in the scalp and hence, it is safe. It penetrates the skin deeply, nourishes the scalp, and promotes hair growth.
